Shipping Information

Ordering on line is very straight forward and all major credit / debit cards are accepted. If you would prefer you can ring the nursery on 01799540695 to place an order by phone. There is the option then of paying by card, sending a cheque or collecting from one of the many shows we attend.

The Herbs

All lovingly cared for and rooted, the vast majority of our plants will be sent out in 8cm square pots; a few may be in one litre pots.

Packaging

We really want your plants to arrive in the best condition possible. We use recyclable blister packs that hold three herbs tightly in place to stop movement and soil spillage. The packs are then popped into cardboard boxes for extra protection.

Non herb items are bubble wrapped and sent in either a padded envelope or a cardboard box.

Terracotta pots are delivered in reinforced cardboard boxes with padding.

Delivery

Herbs are sent on an overnight delivery on either a Tuesday or Wednesday; this ensures that they are never left in transit over a weekend. This means that herbs ordered on a Wednesday evening for example will arrive just over a week later, whereas herbs ordered on a Monday will arrive within three or four days. Therefore please allow up to two weeks for delivery. An email will be sent to you when your herbs are despatched.

Please make sure you leave an alternative address or place to leave your herbs in case you are not home, that way they do not spend another day in a cardboard box.

Unpack your box as soon as you receive it. Give the herbs a drink of water and place them in direct light either inside or out.

Cost

We have done our best to keep the post and packing costs as low as possible but it is impossible to be as cost effective for smaller quantities as for larger orders. During the summer months when we have more packages leaving the nursery our courier costs are lower than during the quieter months when we get charged more. We pass this saving on to you so you will find it is cheaper to order during the main growing months.

As our blister packs hold three herbs it is much more cost effective to order in multiples of three if possible, as the packaging costs remain the same whether the pack holds one or three herbs. The table gives you a sample of typical p+p costs, although the system will calculate the exact costs when you order.
