A hardy perennial with white flowers that an be found growing wild in fields, waste land and grassy verges. In the past the leaves have been used to help stem the flow of blood from wounds and they were said to have been used by Achilles in the battle of Troy to help heal the wounds of soldiers. It is used today to help the body deal with fevers.. As a tea it can be mixed with ginger, peppermint, elderflower and cayenne to help deal with colds and fever. Yarrow stimulates the digestive system and helps lower blood pressure.
