This green and white variegated aromatic perennial herb is a cultivar of wild mugwort found growing in waste places, along hedgerows and roadsides. It is a bitter herb used for infestations of round and thread worms as well as treaing the female reproductive system. In Chinese medicine the dried leaf is burned briefly on the skin to warm acupuncture pressure points. It was one of the nine sacred Druid herbs offering protection from evil and poisons.
