The name Melissa comes from the Greek Melittina or honey bee because it is loved by them. It can be used fresh or dried for anxiety or depression, as a tonic for the heart and circulation, to relieve digestive tract spasms and helping with nausea and vomiting. In cooking it goes well in salads, drinks and punches, fruit salads, custards and ice cream.
