With large rose pink flowers this hardy perennial makes a striking plant in the garden. The young leaves, shoots, unripe seed capsules (known as cheeses) and flowers are edible. 9x9cm pot (8cm depth)

The leaves and flowers have a mild pleasant taste and can be cooked or eaten raw. The seeds are fiddly to harvest, but have a nutty flavour and are best eaten just before they ripen. This is a pretty plant to have in the garden and does self-seed nicely in wildflower gardens.

Easy to grow, musk mallow can develop into a big plant with a wonderful display of pink flowers which open gradually along the stems. It has a long tap root and can self-seed well in the right conditions so it is better to cut the stems back before the seeds ripen fully and drop. If you haven’t the garden space for beautiful herb, it can be grown successfully in a pot and will enjoy regular feeding. It dies right down in winter and remerges in spring.
The leaves and flowers can be infused into a cooling, soothing tea to help with inflammation and irritation of the respiratory, urinary and digestive system. The nutty flavoured seeds can be eaten raw and the flowers make a pretty edition to salads, along with the mild flavoured leaves.
The fibrous stems of musk mallow have been used in the past for paper making, textiles and cordage; the flowers in the perfumery industry as a replacement for musk.
We deliver our herb plants to addresses across the UK. Orders are dispatched between Mondays and Thursdays. This is usually within two to four days of placing your order, but at some points of the year during busy peaks it may take a little longer.
Very small orders of up to 3 herbs are dispatched with Royal Mail but the majority of our orders are sent via a 24 hour courier service. Orders sent by courier to Scottish Highlands and Islands, Isle of Wight and Scilly Isles take 48-72hrs - this will be indicated at the checkout.

All the herbs are supplied in 9x9 cm pots (8cm depth). Our herbs are packaged securely in recycled and recyclable blister packs and then into cardboard boxes, to ensure your plants to arrive in the best possible condition.

All our herbs are grown on the nursery and are dispatched labelled with their plant name and basic growing instructions

We would ask that you check your herbs carefully when they arrive and report any problems to us either by phone or email within 48 hours so that we can rectify it. We may ask that you send us a photo.
We cannot accept responsibility for plants that have not been cared for or had unsuitable care.
Once an order has been placed you have the right to cancel your order up to the day of dispatch. As herbs are a perishable item we cannot accept returns in exchange for a refund.
