Herbs are usually dispatched within 2-4 days* of placing your order by an overnight courier service. We send them on a twenty four hour tracked delivery between Mondays and Thursdays – but not Fridays to avoid them being stuck in transit over the weekend.
Deliveries to remote areas can take between 48-72 hours. The estimated transit time is advised with the delivery option shown at the checkout.
*Please note that at some points of the year during busy peaks it may take a little longer to dispatch your order from receipt.
All the herbs are naturally grown in 9x9 cm pots (8cm depth). They begin life as either seeds or cuttings in small plugs and are then potted on into the 9cm pots by hand. They are then left to root into the compost and put on some top growth before they are sent out to you. This means they will be a good size and ready to carry on their life in their new surroundings.
Our aim is to provide our customers with top quality herbs and service. We have worked hard to find a robust packing and delivery system that ensures your plants arrive at your door in the best condition.
We would ask that you check your herbs carefully when they arrive and report any problems to us either by phone or email within 48 hours so that we can rectify it, either by replacements or refunds. We may ask that you send us a photo.
We cannot accept responsibility for plants that have not been cared for or had unsuitable care.
Once an order has been placed you have the right to cancel your order up to the day of dispatch. As herbs are a perishable item we cannot accept returns in exchange for a refund.
It is important that your herbs spend as little time as possible in their packaging as they have no access to natural light. They can manage pretty well for up to five days however, we choose to send them via an overnight delivery to minimise the time without natural light. We also recommend that you provide details of a safe place for your order to be left if you are not home when delivery is attempted so your delivery is not further delayed.
Once your box of herbs arrive, unpack them as soon as possible, take them out from the green blister packs and remove the pot toppers from the pots. Give them a light watering if they look dry and place them in natural light.
We use blister packs that are made from recycled drinks bottles and which can be recycled again. These hold three herbs tightly in place to stop movement. To help stop soil spillage each pot is topped with a recycled fibre ‘pot topper’ this needs to be removed when you unpack your plants. The blister packs are then packed into cardboard boxes for added protection and wrapped with fragile tape to help prevent them being thrown about in transit.
