These are native to China where they have been used for many centuries and huge bunches are found in for sale in produce markets such is their popularity. A tasty herb to use and experiment with, they don’t have to be used in Chinese dishes!

Tasty garlic chives are very hardy and often stay green right through the winter in the UK.  They like a rich fertile soil and part sun/shade and can be cut and used all summer. They are very suitable for pot growing, though the leaves do tend to get wider and flatter when given more root space in the garden.
