This is an easy infused oil to make which is a lovely ruby red when finished. It is traditionally used externally for treating burns, wounds and nerve pain.
Ingredients
A bunch of St. Johns Wort flowers to fill a jam jar
Olive oil
Method
Fill the jam jar with the fresh flowers – they can be packed in if you have enough
Pour in the oil to fill the jar
Leave to infuse for two weeks
Strain and put the oil in a clean sterilized jar and store in the fridge
